The New Jersey Devils capitalized off the their 11.5 chance at securing the top pick in the NHL Draft by winning tonightโs Draft Lottery.
The Senators, who had the NHLโs worst record (and who traded their pick to the Colorado Avalanche) came up 4th while the New York Rangers and Chicago Blackhawks round out the top three respectively.
Itโs expected the Devils will select the United Statesโ Jack Hughes whoโs undoubtedly seen as the top pick in this summerโs Draft. Kaapo Kakko of TPS in Liiga, Finlandโs top division is widely seen to go No. 2 overall with the rest of the field being somewhat up in the air.
And with the playoff field still yet to be determined, hereโs how the non-playoff teams will lineup in this Summerโs draft.
1. New Jersey Devils
