Detroit

Kenny Golladay’s season and tenure as a member of the Detroit Lions could very well over as the wide receiver heads into free agency.

The news was confirmed by Lions interim head coach Darrell Bevell saying that Golladay would not play in the Week 17 season finale against the Minnesota Vikings.

Having only caught 20 passes over five games for 338 yards and two touchdowns in a contract season surely isn’t ideal for the impending free agent Golladay. Especially coming off a 2019 campaign where he made the Pro Bowl with 65 catches for 1,190 yards and an NFL-best 11 touchdowns.

Sure Golladay is still going to garner plenty of attention on the market, however, his monetary value has assumingly taken a hit due to his limited appearances this season.

As far as the chances of him coming back to Detroit, the prospects of that happening seem to be sketchy at this time considering the team doesn’t have a permanent front office staff in place as of yet after firing Bob Quinn and Matt Patricia back in November.

Golladay has though expressed interest in returning to Detroit but is certainly looking to get paid.
