In their quest to replace the Coots, the Lions are reportedly looking into recently fired Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian and former Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Nate Hackett. This is according to SiriusXM NFL Radio host Alex Marvez.

At this point it would seem that Nate Hackett would be the favorite over Sarkisian based on his approach to the game. Matt Patricia has said that he wants to run the ball more which is something that Hackett has a knack for during his offensive game planning. On the flip, Sarkisian was oftentimes criticized in the past for not running the ball enough, something that Jim Bob Cooter seemed to do more often which may have put him at odds with Patricia.

As far as interviews being scheduled for the OC position that is still unclear.
