According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Lions and Amon-Ra St. Brown are nearing a contract extension that’ll pay the Pro Bowler between $26-28 million per season.

In Detroit, WR Amon-Ra St. Brown and the Lions are close to a deal to keep the young star receiver in Detroit. He is expected to get a payday of around $26 to $28 million per season, which would place the 24-year-old WR near the top of the market for his position. Tyreek Hill makes a position-best average of $30 million per year.

The USC product has been nothing short of magnificent for the Lions making the Pro Bowl in each of his last two seasons while also securing All-Pro honors in 2023. He’s also amassed 315 career receptions good for third most within the first three seasons of a career coming behind the likes of Justin Jefferson (324) and Michael Thomas (321).

St. Brown is currently entering the final season of his rookie deal that’ll pay out $3.4 million in 2024 capping off a run of unbelievable value for the Lions during the last three years thus far. This is especially the case last season when St. Brown was second in the NFL for receptions (119) and third in yardage (1,515).
