Detroit

Big news coming out of Allen Park Tuesday as the Lions have activated CB Emmanuel Moseley off the physically unable to perform list (PUP). This is according to Adam Schefter of ESPN who also mentions that Moseley will be eligible to play next week in Detroit’s season opener in Kansas City.

The team seemed to be taking a more optimistic tone regarding Moseley earlier in the week with Dan Campbell saying “E-man’s doing well, but he’s somebody we’ll discuss tonight on whether – do we keep him on PUP, do we take him off? He’s close, but he’s doing well”. All of this news came after Moseley had to undergo “clean-up” surgery before training camp on a torn ACL originally suffered earlier last year while still with the 49ers.

Despite coming off the PUP list, Moseley still probably won’t see much (if any) playing time in week one given his PUP list status throughout training camp while recovering from last year’s injury. So expect to see a healthy dose of Cameron Sutton and Jerry Jacobs on the outside in Kansas City.
