Bills safety Damar Hamlin reportedly remains in critical condition at the UC Medical Center in Cincinnati after suffering a cardiac arrest during last night’s Monday Night Football game against the Bengals. This is according to an early Tuesday morning statement from the Bills.

Furthermore, it was confirmed that the 24-year-old Hamlin, playing in his third season with the Bills, did have to be resuscitated by paramedics (presumably using an AED and CPR) before he was taken off the field via ambulance.

Hamlin currently remains in critical condition.

Hamlin’s family also released a statement thanking the paramedics and the staff at UC Medical Center.

Hamlin apparently went into cardiac arrest during the first quarter of last night’s game after making a tackle on Cincinnati’s Tee Higgins. Hamlin initially got to his feet after the play only to collapse back to the ground seconds later.

The game was eventually postponed with a makeup date yet to be determined.
