The Giants put a merciful end to the hapless Pat Shurmur era in New York Monday ending a tenure that saw the G-Men go 9-23 over the stretch.
Shurmur seemed to have known the writing was on the wall to in the postgame as he definitely had that deadman walking vibe.

“This is a ‘wins’ business — I get it, I get it,” Shurmur said after Sunday’s 34-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. “We’ve been talking about [my job] for, I think, about six weeks.
