The Dodgers punched their ticket to a second straight World Series after beating the Brewers 5-1 tonight in game seven from Milwaukee.
Clayton Kershaw recorded the final outs for the Dodgers who overcame a 2-1 series deficit and will get an opportunity to capture that elusive championship ring and finally get over their own postseason hump.
Kershaw gets the K and the LA Dodgers are heading back to the World Series!!!! #LADetermined #WorldSeries ⚾️

Essentially, the game plan for Dodgers manager Dave Roberts couldn’t have gone much better. Get on the board early, eat into the Brewers bullpen (notably force Craig Counsell to use Josh Hader quickly which he did) and limit Clayton Kershaw’s work if at all possible.
Now the big questions heading into the World Series between two of baseball’s high payroll powerhouses is will Kershaw start Game One Tuesday night despite pitching the ninth tonight? Can the Dodgers go toe-to-toe with that vaunted Red Sox offense? Will J.D. Martinez be able to get going in the final series? And what kind of Boston bullpen will we see against the Dodgers?
Nonetheless the World Series should be a good one.
