With John Beilein gone, it looks like Michigan assistant Luke Yaklich is going to be the next coach to find his way out of Ann Arbor.
According to CBS Sports’ College Basketball Insider Jon Rothstein, Texas’ Shaka Smart appear to be lining themselves up to sign the Michigan assistant coach here in the near future.
“Sources: Texas’ Shaka Smart is expected to hire former Michigan assistant Luke Yaklich as an assistant coach,” Rothstein’s tweet read. “Was the Wolverines’ defensive coordinator over the past few seasons.”
Prior to tonight though, Yaklich leaving Michigan seemed to be a foregone conclusion as Jeff Moss was reporting this last week.
