The Detroit Lions and linebacker Tahir Whitehead have agreed to terms on a contract that will keep the former fifth-round draft pick in the Honolulu blue and silver.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Whitehead was re-signed on a two-year deal for a monetary value of more than $8 million.
For the #Lions and LB Tahir Whitehead, I'm told it's a 2-year deal worth more than $8M.

The Lions have gotten nice value out of Whitehead whose accumulated 136 tackles, two sacks and three interceptions over the course of the last two seasons. He also generated some interest on the open market, specifically with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers whom he paid a visit to today.
