According to various recruiting websites, the Spartans are set to meet with four-star defensive end recruit Adolphus Washington this upcoming weekend. He (Washington) is also ranked as the #3 defensive end recruit by Scout.com in the country.
The 6’6″, 245lb Washington hails from Cincinnati (Taft) Ohio and listed Alabama, Kentucky, Miami of Florida, Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State as his final choices.
He recently told Scout.com that he would make five official visits then announce his final decision at the end of the season.
The general consensus is that Ohio State seems to be the frontrunner to obtain Washington. However 2012 Spartan recruit Se’Von Pittman is said to be good friends with Washington which could give some leverage to Michigan State.
