After Saturday’s game with the Chicago White Sox, the Detroit Tigers have used seven different players at the second base position who have played at least ten games there and according to Tom Gage of the Detroit News it doesn’t look like things are going to change anytime soon.

Furthermore, manager Jim Leyland indicated that he’s going to continue to go with the hot bat at the position instead of sticking with one guy the remainder of the season.

In terms of next season, things may not change too much for the Tigers at second base. Unless the team makes a trade, the Tigers may go with internal options at second given the relatively weak free agent market at the position this upcoming offseason.
