Simple pandering or a real desire to play for the Lions?

Which ever, Clemson WR Sammy Watkins continues to make it be known that he doesnโ€™t have any qualms when it comes to playing for the Detroit Lions this upcoming season.

Hereโ€™s what he told FOXSports.com about the possibility of playing in the Detroit offense:

โ€œI think that would be crazy,โ€ Watkins told FOXSports.com. โ€œYou wouldnโ€™t be able to double-guard Megatron. You wouldnโ€™t be able to double-guard me. Basically it would be pick your poison and then you have Golden Tate in the slot. He runs nice routes and is a very physical guy. Then you have Reggie Bush in the backfield. There would be a lot of speed in that offense.

โ€œThatโ€™s the type of offense that I want to play in. Itโ€™s a very explosive offense. Being with good coaches, an older wide receiver and a quarterback would definitely help me out a lot.โ€

Nonetheless Sammy Watkins may have a career in politics when his football days are over. Especially in Detroit since Lions fans eat this stuff up.
