Earlier today, a Dave Meltzer report sparked hysteria within the pro-wresting world when it was supposedly revealed that WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey would leave the promotion after Wrestlemania in a couple of months.
That would mean the biggest former UFC star to ever jump ship to the wrestling ring would be ending her pro wrestling career after just one year on the job.
Only it seemed like people were missing a key factor within the Meltzer outline.
TMZ Sports pointed out that in addition to Meltzer saying that there was a “very good chance” that Rousey wraps things up after Wrestlemania people glossed over the other part where Meltzer also states that she will “probably remain affiliated with the company” after Wrestlemania.
In addition to that though, TMZ Sports learned that multiple people have told them that Rousey is “super happy” with her new career and isn’t planning to quit anytime soon. Not only that, a WWE spokesperson told TMZ that Rousey is under contract until April 10, 2021.
Rousey has made no secret that she would like to start a family with her husband Travis Browne soon. She also made mention of just that back in May of 2018. So what’s probably going to happen here is she’ll drop her title at Wrestlemania, take and extended absence from the company to begin her family and make her return to the ring sometime in early 2020.
