According to the San Francisco Chronicle the Golden State Warriors may have
interest in Piston forward Tayshaun Prince as well as former Michigan State player Zach Randolph.
Here is the excerpt from the Chronicle article…
The Warriors are interested in Tayshaun Prince and have been intrigued by Zach Randolph, two guys who might fit that description and could be available. Some league sources still believe Andre Iguodala – one of Curry’s favorites – could be made available, but many have soured on that scuttlebutt.
Matt Moore of ProBasketballTalk.com believes that adding Prince to the mix is intriguing. Moore says that Prince would add toughness and leadership something the Warriors haven’t had in a decade. Furthermore, Moore highlights the young talent that the Warriors currently possess which could be very attracting a Pistons team that is rebuilding.
The thing with Prince is he has an expiring contract which is attractive to any team going into off-season free agency. This includes the Pistons that still have ownership issues and have the chance to shed salary come the off-season. Something the Pistons will probably not do is take on salary in any trade so the Warriors would have to be sure that any deal that is made with Detroit is back loaded with a bunch of money that is on the books for years to come.
