The Pistons haven’t won this season with a healthy lineup, so it only makes sense they would continue that trend with a lineup full of injuries.

And that was exactly the case Friday night as the Pistons drop another one this time to the Memphis Grizzlies 98-81 from The Palace. This latest loss drops the 3-13 Pistons 10 games below the .500 mark and are just four weeks into the shortened season.

With the injuries to Rodney Stuckey (groin) and Will Bynum (foot), rookie Brandon Knight once again had plenty of playing time scoring 22 points and was 10 for 10 from the free throw line. Forward Greg Monroe also continued roll getting another double-double by scoring 10 points and getting 13 rebounds.

Much of the Pistons’ problems tonight came from points scored off of turnovers.

Detroit had 11 turnovers in the fourth quarter for a total of 25 in the game. Memphis was able to capitalize scoring 32 total points off of turnovers.

Marc Gasol had 17 points for Memphis while Mike Conley added 14 points and 11 assists and Tony Allen scored 14. O.J. Mayo had 10 points off the bench.

The Pistons at one time trailed by as much as 23 points. However in the third quarter Detroit scored 13 straight points to pull within 54-57. The Pistons continued to press on in the third quarter scoring 35 points before once again coming up short in the fourth quarter.
