According to CBS Sports’ Ken Berger by way of Chris Iott of Mlive.com, the Detroit Pistons have fined veteran Richard Hamilton and Chris Wilcox and undisclosed amount of money for missing Friday’s shoot around.

Hamilton and Wilcox’ no-show to the shoot around was part of a rumored bigger picture.

According to various sources several Piston players held a boycott against head coach John Kuester Friday which eventually led to the team only playing six in Friday night’s loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. Hamilton is believed to of been the player that organized the boycott that may have also included Tayshaun Prince, Rodney Stuckey, Austin Daye, Chris Wilcox, and Tracy McGrady.

Yahoo Sports also reported Saturday that Richard Hamilton was benched in January because of a confrontation he had with Kuester during practice in which Hamilton became ‘combative’.

One player that also wasn’t at the shoot around on Friday was Ben Wallace.

Wallace however had a legitimate excuse for not being there as he was tending to his family.

Today, according to Chris Iott of Mlive.com, Ben Wallace’s brother the Rev. James McBride died after a lengthy battle with an undisclosed illness.

The Pistons announced today that Wallace will be out of the lineup indefinitely.

From everyone here at The Majors our deepest condolences go out to the Wallace family.
