Jimmy Howard will be back in goal tonight for the Wings when they take on the Minnesota Wild from the Xcel Energy Center.

The Wings are looking to end a three game losing streak, their first since December 19-23, 2009. They haven’t lost four in a row in regulation since February 10-17, 2008.

According to Ansar Khan of MLive.com, Corey Emmerton will be back in the lineup tonight, replacing Patrick Eaves who will be a healthy scratch. Other healthy scratches include defenseman Mike Commodore (who was just cleared to play Friday after an MCL sprain in the preseason) and forward Fabian Brunnstrom who was reportedly put on waivers Saturday morning.

Tomas Holmstrom is also in the lineup on back-to-back nights, something that head coach Mike Babcock said he would to like avoid doing early in the season.

No word yet on line combinations as the Wings had an optional skate in the morning.
