Michigan State will be taking a shorthanded Purdue Boilermakers team Sunday as head coach Matt Painter announced Friday that he dismissed guard Kelsey Barlow from the team and suspended guard D.J. Byrd for one game.

Both players were assessed penalties by Painter after it was reported by The Journal & Courier that both players were involved in an incident at a West Lafayette bar. This resulted in Byrd being arrested on suspicion of public intoxication early Friday.

Barlow as given the dismissal after being suspended by Painter last March during the NCAA for conduct detrimental to the team.
