Pistons point guard Rodney Stuckey played a huge role in his return to the Pistons as he returned to the Pistons lineup Saturday night.
Stuckey, whose been battling a groin injury the past few games had 28 points to lead the Pistons to a 94-91 home victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. The win snaps Detroitโs 4 game losing streak and hopefully injects some confidence and momentum into a team thatโs had itโs fair share of struggles so far this season.
One of the biggest problems for the Pistons leading into Saturday nightโs game was turnovers.
Friday night against Memphis the Pistons had a total of 25 turnovers. They were able to cut that almost in half to 11 Saturday night as rookie Brandon Knight along with Stuckey managed the back court for the Pistons very well.
โWe can play off of each other,โ Knight said. โItโs definitely good having two ball handlers that can both attack and both create for the team.โ
Stuckey who had been battling a groin injury prior to his return had also been struggling offensively as well. He (Stuckey) was only averaging 11.3 points per game before being very aggressive Saturday night against Portland.
Saturdayโs win for Detroit was only their second win in the last 12 games. They now hit the road to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder Monday night.
