It has been a pretty amazing year for Robert Griffin III and the Baylor Bears that kept getting better Saturday night when Griffin III was awarded the 2011 Heisman Trophy.

Griffin III beat out fellow finalist Andrew Luck, Trent Richardson, Tyrann Mathieu and Montee Ball.

But exactly how good was Griffin III to beat out guys who play for big name programs?

You have to look no further than the fact that Baylor finished the season 9-3 and won their games when their defense allowed 35 or more points just about on a weekly basis. But the game that may have sealed the deal for Griffin III was when he put up 485 yards on 35 passes for a 45-38 victory over Oklahoma.

Griffin finished out the season completing 72.4% of his passes for 3998 yards, 36 touchdowns and only 6 interceptions. He also averaged 10.8 yards per pass and rushed for 644 yards and 9 touchdowns.
