Rookie outfielders Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels and Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals have been named the American League and National League Rookie’s of the Year respectively. This according to the Baseball Writers Associated of America.

At the age of 20, Trout becomes the youngest player to take home the AL honors after an amazing season batting .326/.399/.564 with 30 homers and a league-leading 49 stolen bases. He was also unanimous decision in front of Yoenis Cespedes, Yu Darvish, Wei-Yin Chen and Jarrod Parker.

Meanwhile Harper (19) becomes the second youngest player to take home the NL honors behind Doc Gooden. The Nationals outfielder was also able to overcome a slow summer with a late season push finishing with a line of .270/.340/.477 with 22 home runs and 18 stolen bases.
