The New York Giants may be showing that they’re coming around at just the right time.

Eli Manning and the G-Men routed the Atlanta Falcons 24-2 in Sunday’s NFC Wild Card matchup from MetLife Stadium at the Meadowlands.

Manning who is having a career season hit Hakeem Nicks for a 72-yard score and Mario Manningham on a 27-yarder as the Giants (10-7) pulled away from the inept Falcons (10-7) in the second half.

After scoring the first two points of the game off a safety, the Falcons were never able to get their offense going as Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan was only able to complete 24 of 41 passes for 199 yards and no touchdowns.

Aside from a strong defense this afternoon, the Giants’ running game which has been among the leagues worst had 172 yards total on the ground.

Next week the Giants head to Green Bay to take on the defending Superbowl Champion Packers.
