So, despite the announcement from both NISA and the U.S. Open Cup that left New Amsterdam FC off their respective lists of teams competing in 2022, NAFC says they’re playing in the National Independent Soccer Association this year.

Not only that though, New Amsterdam is calling for the resignation of NISA commissioner John Prutch.

The drama in lower-league soccer never ends. Stay tuned for more on this developing story.

New Amsterdam owner Laurence Girard went on The Knights who Said NISA podcast tonight to pretty much dig in and double down on everything that was previously posted on Twitter by the club. This includes claiming that New Amsterdam and Chicago House haven’t been provided financial statements from the league despite having been provided them in the past.

Girard also states that NAFCs intention is to play in NISA given they sent in their registration and check (which they apparently snapped a picture of before doing so) to U.S. Soccer last month. He was also “shocked” to hear they NAFC was left out of NISA’s statement regarding teams who would be taking part in the U.S. Open Cup.

Meanwhile NISA nor the Open Cup have released statements of their own regarding this matter, but stay tuned.
