According to reports, the NBA players have rejected the NBA’s latest proposal and filed a disclaimer of interest essentially meaning that union will disband and will file an anti-trust action against the league.

With games already being cancelled, this new development pretty much signifies what many NBA fans, players and owners could already see coming a mile away which is the loss of the entire 2011-12 season.

However, ESPN The Magazine’s Ric Bucher doesn’t quite see it that way…

One man’s take: players will vote against the proposal only if they believe a season still in play. Vast majority don’t/can’t go without one. For those confused by last tweet: if players believe season is lost by voting down this offer, they won’t. Depends on what they believe.
