After Sunday’s 26-16 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, things could be worse for the Lions. They could be 0-2 with an ineffective, off the rail and expensive defensive tackle on their hands.

That’s right, the Lions could be stuck with the continued antics of Ndamukong Suh.

Sunday, the former All-Pro defensive tackle who signed a six-year, $114 million dollar contact with the Dolphins chose to ‘freelance’ the defensive play calling in Miami’s 23-20 loss to the Jaguars instead of going by defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle’s game planning. This is according to Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald.

“I couldn’t tell you,” Suh said when asked about his limited contribution. “At the end of the day, we have to go back to the drawing board and figure out what we want to run so guys can make plays and go from there.”

These latest on-field escapades for Suh come a week after he apparently kicked the helmet off Washington running back Alfred Morris. Further junk the Lions would be hampered with when dealing with the media throughout the week considering Suh never talked. More needless drama that would further be magnified if the Lions were still winless with a Ndamukong Suh still on the team.

And sure, there’s no certainties the Lions would be winless after two weeks if Suh was in fact still on the Detroit defensive line.

However, Suh hasn’t been exactly lighting the World on fire down in Miami recording just two tackles and zero sacks for the Dolphins though week two. Not to mention the problems for the Lions transcend well beyond a potentially porous defensive line.
