Michigan State’s 24-3 blowout loss to Nebraska on Saturday not only hurt pride but their standing in the BCS and major polls.

After the loss, the Spartans fell from the top 10 in the AP Poll to #15. They also fell in the USA Today Coaches Poll to #16.

Meanwhile, arch rival Michigan was able to jump ahead of Michigan State in both major polls to #13.

In terms of the new BCS standings that were released Sunday night, Michigan State dropped from #11 to #17.

Next week Michigan State will look to rebound when they welcome in the 2-6 Minnesota Golden Gophers to Spartan Stadium for a 12PM ET kick off.
