Michigan may have made up some ground in their pursuit of four-star offensive lineman Josh Garnett who will announce which program he will play for on Thursday at 3PM ET.

โ€œOffensive lineman Josh Garnett (Puyallup, Wash./Puyallup) recently hosted coaches from both Stanford and Michigan and says he is now officially down to those two schools,โ€ Tom VanHaaren of WolverineNation.com reported. โ€œNotre Dame was previously in his top group but has been eliminated from the running.โ€

It still looks as though Stanford is the front runner for Garnett however recent in house visits by the Michigan coaching staff may have evened the chase.

โ€œThe visit with Michigan potentially helped its chances because it gave Garnettโ€™s family the opportunity to meet with Hoke face to face,โ€ VanHaaren added.

In addition to Michigan and Stanford, Notre Dame looks to be in the mix as well as Auburn.
