Michigan may have made up some ground in their pursuit of four-star offensive lineman Josh Garnett who will announce which program he will play for on Thursday at 3PM ET.
“Offensive lineman Josh Garnett (Puyallup, Wash./Puyallup) recently hosted coaches from both Stanford and Michigan and says he is now officially down to those two schools,” Tom VanHaaren of WolverineNation.com reported. “Notre Dame was previously in his top group but has been eliminated from the running.”
It still looks as though Stanford is the front runner for Garnett however recent in house visits by the Michigan coaching staff may have evened the chase.
“The visit with Michigan potentially helped its chances because it gave Garnett’s family the opportunity to meet with Hoke face to face,” VanHaaren added.
In addition to Michigan and Stanford, Notre Dame looks to be in the mix as well as Auburn.
