According to Angelique S. Chengelis of the Detroit News by way of TheWolverine.com and GoBlueWolverine.com, Michigan has gotten verbal commitments from Quarterback Russell Bellomy and linebacker Antonio Poole. Both of these players are considered three star recruits by both Rivals.com and Scout.com.
Russell Bellomy is a 6-foot-3, 178-pounder from Martin High in Arlington, Texas. He previously committed to Purdue before visiting Ann Arbor on Monday and Tuesday.
Antonio Poole is a 6-2, 210-pounder from Cincinnati, Ohio. He was previously considering Cincinnati, Kentucky, Pitt, Purdue, Illinois and Minnesota before picking Michigan.
Bellomy fills as need at quarterback for the Wolverines who recently lost backup QB Tate Forcier when he announced he would be leaving the University on Twitter last week. Bellomy ran for 804 yards and nine touchdowns and threw for 1,564 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior.
Brady Hoke and the University of Michigan now has 16 verbal commitments going into national signing day on February 2nd.
