It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish which was definitely the theme for Vander Blue and the Marquette Golden Eagles Thursday.
After trailing the 14th seed Davidson basically the entire game, Marquette took the lead with one second remaining in the game after a Vander Blue layup. This was also the dagger in the hear for an upset minded Davidson team as the Golden Eagles danced their way into the Round of 32 with a 59-58 win.
Marquette ended the game with a 13-5 run saving the Big East from an 0-2 start after Pitt was eliminated by Wichita State earlier on in the day.
