Newly minted Midwest Premier League club Liquid Football has announced that Healey Field in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan will serve as their home pitch for the 2023 season. The club cited the University Liggett School’s expansion of its outdoor athletic facility back in 2015 further highlighting it being “the largest contiguous installation of artificial turf fields at any high school in the country.”

Liquid Football first announced its intention to play in the MWPL back on January 17 which currently has 17 clubs that make up its eastern conference. This includes 11 clubs in the Metro Detroit area alone which will provide plenty of amateur local soccer to go around. It also provides ample opportunity for amateur players in the area to get noticed which you can do with Liquid Football who are set to hold tryouts on March 19 at School Craft College in Livonia.
