Lions

Despite a lifeless offense for most of the game the Lions were able to overcome yet another 4th quarter deficit today and beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 26-19 from Ford Field.

The Lions were namely able to get it done on defense and special teams thanks to a Rafael Bush pick six on Blake Bortles as well as a punt return for a touchdown by Andre Roberts.

Roberts’ touchdown made him only the 4th Lions player in team history to return two punts for touchdowns in the a given season. It also came at an excellent time for Roberts who muffed a punt earlier in the game which resulted in a Jacksonville field goal.

Meanwhile the struggle was real for the Lions’ running game managing just 21 yards on 14 carries.

Matthew Stafford on the other hand was good when he had to be going 24/33 for 278 yards. This includes a late connection with Eric Ebron which later resulted in a rushing touchdown for the tight end.

Next up for the Lions is a Thanksgiving showdown with the Minnesota Vikings whom Detroit maintained a slim lead over in the NFC North after their divisional counterparts were able to beat the Cardinals at home.
