Five plays into preseason and Lions wide receiver Jermaine Kearse’s season, and possibly his career may be over.

In the preseason opener, the veteran suffered a gruesome leg injury when a defender fell onto him while he was blocking for a runner.

Upon the injury, the Lions training staff immediately covered Kearse’s leg before an air cast was applied.

What makes matters worse for the veteran wideout is he was only signed to a one-year, $1.3 million deal as he looked to have bounce back season.
