UPDATE: Ihedigbo reportedly left Detroit without a contract but both sides still seem pretty steadfast that a deal will get done at some point.
After addressing a need at the wide receiving position Wednesday with the signing of Golden Tate from Seattle the Lions now look to fill some holes in their secondary. According to ProFootballTalk.com (who cites a league source) Detroit is expected to sign Ravens S James Ihedigbo today when he pays a visit to the Allen Park facilities.
Ihedigbo started all 16 games for the Ravens last season compiling 101 tackles and 13 interceptions. He’s also very good against the run which Josh Alper of PFT writes wasn’t the biggest problem in the Lions’ defensive backfield in 2013 but more than likely became a target for Detroit given his time with Teryl Austin in Baltimore.
