If you were worried as to whether or not Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy would return to form after a hip injury (or cough parasite cough, cough) perhaps Tahir Whitehead‘s comments regarding his (Levy) return to practice will help alleviate those fears.
Whitehead, reportedly told Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press that Levy is ‘looking really good’ which is good news for the team considering how much their defensive backfield sucked last season without him.
“He’s been looking really good,” Whitehead said. “I know the type of guy Lev is. I know he missed the game last year and he was going to work and get back, and what we’ve seen the last couple weeks is exactly that. He’s worked to get back on the field with us.”
Levy was limited to just 17 snaps last season after trying to play through that reported hip injury that ultimately required surgery. However Levy has proven to be extremely effective when healthy racking up 270 tackles in 32 started games.
Levy is also expected to be a full participant in training camp once that begins later it the summer.
