The always outspoken LaVar Ball has revealed where he’d like his son LaMelo to end up after next year’s NBA Draft.

During a recent interview with “The Pascal Show,” LaVar mentioned that he’d like to see LaMelo end up with either the New York Knicks or the Detroit Pistons who hold the No. 8 and No. 7 picks respectively.

This may come as some surprise considering LaVar made no mention of his desire to see LaMelo play in L.A. with either the Clippers or the Lakers who originally drafted Lonzo Ball before he became the centerpiece of the trade that netted Los Angeles Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans. LaVar only made mention that L.A., specifically the Lakers not being the right fit for LaMelo while taking a shot at their then “raggedy-ass coach”.

“The makeup that they have right now, that’s not good for me,” Ball said. “When they finish with the AD and LeBron here and all that, ’cause check this out: I already had a son in L.A. with a raggedy-ass coach. So it don’t matter where you go, the key is to have the right coach behind you.”

Obviously LaMar’s comments mean absolutely nothing, especially considering it’s highly unlikely LaMelo is even available at seven, let alone eight. Not to mention too LaMelo told reporters last month that he’s his “own man” and believes he can play for any team.
