McGonigle lined a walk-off base hit in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Detroit Tigers erased a late 4-1 deficit to beat the Seattle Mariners, 5-4, on Sunday afternoon at Comerica Park. The comeback victory secured the weekend series for Detroit, which took two of three games from Seattle and continued its recent run of strong play.
