As the Knicks’ season continues to go down the toilet with the return of Carmelo Anthony to the lineup, things got even worse the other night off the court.
JR Smith was fined $25,000 dollars for tweeting a lewd photo of one of Tahiry’s (rapper Joe Budden’s ex-gf) assets from his hotel room in Milwaukee.
Smith has since apologized stating, “I didn’t know it was going to be as big deal as it is. I definitely regret it. It takes away from our team. Anytime I do anything that takes away from our team, I’m definitely going to regret it.”

Now of course you can find worse images on cable TV or your local news but I can see the NBA trying to protect its image. This also marks Smith’s second large fine of the season. He was reportedly docked $1 million dollars by his Chinese team after missing practices.
