The pregame melee between Michigan and Michigan State left the media asking questions of Jim Harbaugh and Mark Dantonio after the Wolverinesโ 21-7 win over the Spartans.
The melee occurred when Michigan State did their traditional interlocking โSpartan Walkโ across the field prior to the game. However they were met up midfield by a number of Michigan players, including Devin Bush who had to be restrained after the Spartans essentially clothesline him (for lack of a better term) when he refused to get out of the way.
Now thereโs some debate as to whether or not the Spartans planned this because they maybe were late in doing their walk but in the end this is really something youโd kind of expect in a rivalry like this.
As far as Dantonio and Harbaugh go though, they too got in on the contention that was a result of what happened during the pregame.
Harbaugh first accused Dantonio of โsmilingโ five yards behind what happened despite apparently not seeing the melee first hand. The Michigan head coach also referred to Dantonioโs alleged actions as โbush leagueโ.

Meanwhile, Dantonio was quick to shoot down Harbaughโs accusations calling them โBSโ.

Anyways, itโs not like anyone actually thought that todayโs game settled anything. What it may have settled though is the thought that Michigan certainly does care about Michigan State and are without a doubt their biggest rival since they still canโt get over that Buckeye hump.
