Injuries and not COVID have forced the Bears down to their third-string quarterback Nick Foles according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Foles will get his first start of the season after originally landing in Chicago last season to compete with Mitch Trubisky for the starting job. Rookie Justin Fields was ruled out after suffering an ankle injury against the Vikings this past Monday while veteran Andy Dalton is still dealing with a groin injury that flared up after coming off the COVID-19 list.
