Detroit versus Green Bay for the NFC North division crown! This has to be one of the biggest games in the 2014 NFL season with Green Bay having the home field advantage (for over 20 years) with the Lions’ defense playing pretty well in the cold this year.
Still though aside from the history and cold weather things are going to be a little tougher for the Lions with the loss of center Dominic Raiola who was suspended after a stomp in last week’s game against the Bears. The Packers’ defense has also been red hot the past 7 games except for the Buffalo game of course.
The main thing for Detroit is that everyone is pretty much healthy and having Bush back in the backfield will give the Lions a boost on their offense. The bigger question though will be can that Lions secondary contain Aaron Rodgers for the division title on the line?
Here’s the Pro’s and Con’s for both teams:
Packers Con’s
- Can the offensive line hold Detroit’s D-Line?
- Can Eddy Lacey beat Suh?
Lions Con’s
- Will Stafford come out and play?
- Is everyone healthy?
Packers Pro’s
- Playing at Lambeau Field.
- Rodgers being Rodgers and being RELAXED.
Lions Pro’s
- The Lions defense is 2nd best in NFL.
- Everyone is healthy and the chemistry has been there to win games.
- The backfield gets Bush back with Bell and Riddick also splitting time.
We will see who will win today at 4:25pm on Fox. Good Luck to both teams. They both deserve to have home field advantage but one can only win it. Detroit or Green Bay
