Wimbledon

Spain’s Garbine Muguruza won the 2017 women’s Wimbledon title with a surprisingly crushing defeat of Venus Williams from center court.

Falling short of her eighth major and her first in nearly a decade, Williams simply couldn’t go toe-to-toe against the 23-year-old Muguruza who finished off the Tennis vet by a final score of 7-5, 6-0. Some would say however that it wasn’t even that close.

However as Muguruza moves one the big question from here is whether or not Venus continues.

Up until the finals Williams looked as though she could overcome the trials and tribulations that have come her way whether it be injury, illness or most recently a fatal car crash that claimed the life an elderly man last month in Florida.

But at 37 and perhaps a dose of reality from a 23-year-old the future may have become much clearer to Williams. Not to mention what else does she have to prove in her career?
