There have been some rumblings that the Philadelphia Flyers could be in the market for a defenseman. It’s believed that a potential target for Philadelphia could be Anaheim’s Sheldon Brookbank after front office members attended the game between the Washington Capitals and Anaheim Ducks.
However the Philadelphia Daily News refuted these reports citing “individuals close to the Flyers’ thinking” saying the club will ride out the injuries.
“They’ve made it clear that they are not willing to make a trade to just make a trade,” the source said. “They don’t have that much wiggle room under the salary cap and it’s not as if they’re in a tailspin. No matter, they would have no shortage of teams to deal with, as Columbus, Boston and others try to sort out their problems.”
