According to various reports, including those coming from the Detroit News, five-star offensive tackle Kyle Kalis who verbally committed to Ohio State is expected to visit Michigan this weekend.

Kalis, who attended St. Edward High in Lakewood, Ohio, is the fourth best offensive tackle in the nation according to Rivals.com and the eighth best offensive tackle according to Scout.com.

The Detroit News says that it was Tom Strobel’s decision to commit to Michigan that influenced him to take a look at the program Brady Hoke is looking to rebuild. Strobel a defensive end also from Ohio committed to Michigan earlier in the month.

“For the past few months I’ve become really good friends with Tom Strobel and he said I would love it up there; he fell in love with it,” Kalis told MGoBlog.com recruiting analyst Tom VanHaaren.
