Matt Charboneau of the Detroit News cites reports surrounding an HBO special set to air Wednesday night that four University of Auburn players have indicated they received cash from boosters.
One of those players is Stanley McClover who names Michigan State University as one of those schools whose boosters gave him cash.
In fact McClover states that he received cash and handshakes from boosters at Michigan State and LSU, he received sexual favors from Ohio State and was given a backpack full of cash from Auburn.
Michigan State has said they were unaware of any potential problems.
“Our compliance office was never alerted to this alleged handshake,” associate athletic director John Lewandowski said Wednesday.
