Duke is once again atop the recruiting mountain as it was announced that five-star forward Jaemyn Brakefield has committed to the Blue Devils as part of their 2020 class.

Brakefield, the 6-foot-8 forward who attends Huntington Prep (West Virginia) can play multiple positions and is ranked No. 23 overall in the 2020 class while falling in as the No. 5 power forward.

Duke Chronicle:

“The reason I picked Duke is I just think it’s an unbelievable opportunity to maximize my potential at the fullest,” Brakefield told 247Sports. “I think it’s the best fit for me as a person and a basketball player. It’s something I always loved.”

Averaging 15.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists, Brakefield also recorded five games of 20 or more points while also notching two double-doubles. This came as part of playing alongside a stacked lineup that included fellow five-star players Jalen Johnson and Patrick Baldwin Jr.
