Duke is once again atop the recruiting mountain as it was announced that five-star forward Jaemyn Brakefield has committed to the Blue Devils as part of their 2020 class.
Brakefield, the 6-foot-8 forward who attends Huntington Prep (West Virginia) can play multiple positions and is ranked No. 23 overall in the 2020 class while falling in as the No. 5 power forward.
“The reason I picked Duke is I just think it’s an unbelievable opportunity to maximize my potential at the fullest,” Brakefield told 247Sports. “I think it’s the best fit for me as a person and a basketball player. It’s something I always loved.”
Averaging 15.9 points, 6.1 rebounds
Brakefield – who was scheduled to visit Michigan and Ole Miss today before Mike Krzyzewski called the five-star recruit Thursday to extend an offer – now pushes the Blue Devils’ 2020 recruiting class to tops in the nation surpassing Kentucky according to 247 Sports.
