Warriors star Draymond Green was arrested at an East Lansing, Michigan nightclub Sunday night after a misdemeanor assault according to Mlive.com. Not a lot has been released in regards to specifics on what happened however Evan Sernoffsky of the San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that Green allegedly slapped a taunting fan who ended up not being injured.

54B District Court records obtained say Green was released on $200 dollars bond and is scheduled for an arraignment on July 20th.

The Warriors did release a statement on Green being taken into custody (via USA Today):

“We are aware of news involving Draymond Green in Michigan over the weekend,” the Warriors said in a statement. “At this point, we are collecting information and will have no further comment until we have a better understanding of the situation.”

If convicted, Green faces a maximum 93 days in jail and a $500 dollar fine. Currently the Warriors forward is scheduled to represent the United States in Rio for the upcoming Summer Olympics in August. At this point it would seem like jail could be luxury given the stories coming out about the host city.
