Starting tomorrow, the Detroit City FC men’s team is expected to begin announcing their roster signings ahead of the 2022 USL Championship season.

This news coming in the wake of last weeks season opener and home opener dropping for all USL-C clubs as well as the majority of DCFC’s schedule getting leaked early Saturday morning. This all in addition to Friendly the Dumpster Bear once again returning to City in what will be the biggest season in Club history.

Aside though from Friendly, its anticipated that head coach and general manager Trevor James will oversee a pretty significant turnover from last year’s NISA squad that literally won everything put in front of them while almost going an entire calendar year without suffering a defeat.

One potential signing that may have been leaked early is defender Matt Lewis making his return to the Club after a successful 2021 in Detroit. Beyond Lewis though there are some major question marks in terms of who could return as the Club looks to get even more competitive in the second-tier of the U.S. soccer pyramid. Recently, Sean Spence conveyed his insight on who he thought could be coming back for the squad’s inaugural USL run.

So, expect a busy week though for Detroit City as the men’s roster begins to take shape.
