In case you missed it yesterday, Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy proclaimed his โproudest momentโ in college was breaking that โdirtbagโ Joe Paternoโs leg during a game between Wisconsin and Penn State.
Hereโs what Levy told the Menโs Journal:
He was most famous for a 2006 play against Penn State, a sideline tackle that accidentally drove him into coach Joe Paterno, breaking JoePaโs left leg. Ten years later, Levy now calls that incident โmy proudest moment in college,โ as history has since revealed Happy Valleyโs sad secrets. โThat dirtbag, man,โ says Levy of Paterno, who was recently implicated as being aware of child sexual abuse committed by his assistant Jerry Sandusky as early as 1976. โWeโve gotta stop prioritizing sports over humanity,โ says Levy. โJust because somebody can throw a football or coach football, theyโre excluded from their wicked acts.โ
Harsh and cold? Maybe, but so is turning youโre back on a bunch of children while a serial child rapist turns your locker rooms into some sick orgy. But come on JoePa had a football team to run right? Letโs just say a broken leg was getting off easy at the time. Hell, if Paterno didnโt take that dirt nap Iโm sure he wouldโve been right there on trial with Graham Spanier, Gary Schultz, Tim Curley and the rest of the Penn State scumbags (weโll go with scumbags) who who enabled Jerry Sanduskyโs sick pleasures.
So for breaking the leg of a probable child rape enabler and labeling it your โproudestโ moment in collegeโฆ we salute you Mr. Levy!
